CNE with Raymond and friends

I'm always excited to go to CNE every summer. It never gets old. I love tom's mini donuts, cheap warehouse sales, animal farm, and the game booths!

We dropped by the CNE casino first.. It was smaller than I imagined it to be. Not long after, we were starving and swung by the Food Building. I really really want to try krispy creme donut cheese burger, but as always burgers are beef. I opted for a

pogo stick and this huge greasy onion rings ($10). They were definitely not worth it.

We didn't spend much time at the shopping section. We practically went from game booths to game booths to win plushies. I really don't understand guys. Why waste that money to have achance to win when you can shop!?

We got lured into this booth where no strategy was required. It was based on luck. I think it was like $2/person/try. All 6 of us ended up with a "small prize", but we added it up and traded with a "medium prize" that still looked small =/. I say 2/5 of our time was trying to win this tiny tiny domo plushy. In the end, almost everyone had 2 domo plushies.

We were super tired by the time we got home.

Summer BBQ at Milliken Park

Finally met up with Daniel, Antonio, Cindy, and Terry's group. We should have hung out more during the summer, but I just got caught up with a bunch of errands.

I thought I was late that day, but apparently Raymond and I were the first to arrive. Antonio (creator of the event) was MIA for the longest time, boo.

It was a nice treat to get updates from everyone. It sure feels like high school all over again -seeing all the familiar faces :)

It took us forever to start up the fire. We had no coal, no wood, no nothing! But we managed to pull through.

Ah, I love BBQ, bacon strips, bacon strips, and bacon strips LOL. I should be a part of Epic Meal Time's crew :) Bacon is delicious with anything and everything.

The event would have been more fun if it weren't raining that day! It was quite windy too.

It was still a fun gathering despite the bummer weather.

Teeth Whitening

I think even the prettiest girl with yellow teeth is disgusting. It is just one of my many pet peeves. To me, yellow teeth resembles poor cleaning habits, coffee stains, and smoke stains. It is very unappealing. And I don't want to symbolize that!

I am obsessed with teeth whitening since last winter term. I've been using the Crest 3D White Whitestrips Vivid on and off. I do believe it whitened my teeth somewhat, especially when I drank a lot of coffee during exams season. I would recommend this product to anyone because this is a cheaper alternative to teeth whitening with visible results.

I've been lazy and slacking on whitening strips. Therefore, today I bought Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid toothpaste to compensate my idleness on whitening strips. I hope it works! It says on the label that whitens: can remove up to 90% of surface stains in 14 days. That is insane cause I bought it at SDM for 2.99 on sale.. XD

My aldo bag arrived today! Yippee. Thank you Mr. Mailman :)

I was going to buy it earlier for $60, but the wait is worth it.
I bought it for half price, shipping and tax included. What a good deal <3
Going to wear this out tonight teeehee~~

Summerlicious @ Anney's Kitchen

Lately we're both low on cash and don't have time to go downtown for summerlicious.. I decided to cook us a feast!

I made a three course meal:

Soup - Clam chowder

scallops, bacon bits, corn, potato

Salad - Rotini salad

rotini, bacon bits, egg, cheese flakes, lime juice, thousand island dressing

Entree - Honey garlic chicken with lime wedge

roasted honey garlic chicken with saltee broccoli and twice baked potato on the side

Dinner at Canyon Creek before Tuesday night movies with Raymond and the guys. I ordered Roasted chicken with grilled vegetables and twice backed potato. The roasted chicken was good, but not as juicy as the one I had at Wildcraft.

Happy 8 Months Dinner

I really wanted to go to Main St. to eat sometime and have been nagging him for the longest time! Yay, we finally went there few days before I got my wisdoms removed (time to eat yummy food :D)

We walked down the street and couldn't decide which restaurant.. in the end we just walked into one that seemed more sanitary.

The restaurant gave us complimentary bread with chipotle/hummus-like dipping sauce. We found the bread to be a bit hard.


As appetizer we chose the wedge salad. I thought it was supposed to be a potato wedge salad, but it turns out to be lettuce with wedge cuts. Nonetheless, the salad was very pleasing with boiled cut eggs, grape tomatoes, lettuce, blue cheese, bacon bits, swiss cheese flakes, and salad dressing.


I didn't want to have pasta for entree so I ordered spicy fired shrimp with corn and bean. It was very delicious! To be honest, it didn't look much, but it was filling.

My boyfriend ordered an italian specialty - rice, italian tomato sauce, onions, red bell peppers, calamari, topped with cheese flakes and lemon. I thought the flavour was too creamy, but he liked it.

We were planning to get Gelato for desserts, but we were bloated from dinner!

I would definitely like to go back and try the other restaurants :)
